A Barn Full of Brass Beds specialises in the professional restoration of original antique brass and iron bedsteads. Situated just east of Louth, the capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Jonathan Tebbs and his wife, Naomi, work from their traditional farmyard. The barns are bursting at the seams with various Victorian and Edwardian designs, from the classic brass and iron bed, to a fairytale four poster or an elaborate half tester.
If your time is really precious and you don't wish to make the journey, the purchase of your bed can be done through detailed photographs and discussion on the telephone.
Whether you live in a period property or a modern home, we can find the right bed for you. We have a stock of around 200 original antique bedsteads, including English, Irish, French and Continental beds. Our customers come from all walks of life though on occasion we have been amazed to sell our beds to people such as Madonna, Emma Thompson and Warner Brothers for their Harry Potter films. Most recently we have restored some beds for The National Trust.
If you have an antique brass and iron bed which is in need of care and attention, we also offer a full restoration service.
The Princess and the Pea (our sister website) offers a range of bespoke handmade mattresses and bed bases to compliment our bedsteads. A custom made mattress or bed base can be ordered in any shape or size you require, so whether you have a standard size wooden bedstead, or an odd size antique bed, we can offer this made to measure service to suit your needs.
